Is Holland America Have It All Worth It?

Holland America's Have It All is worth buying when its extra cost is less than the drinks, internet, eligible tours and specialty meals you would otherwise purchase. It can work with moderate drinking if you use the other benefits. It is a poor value if you spend most days ashore, book independent tours and would happily skip paid internet.

Checked September 5, 2026, Holland America's US page advertises $65 per person per day, with a $60 rate for cruises departing before Summer 2027. Use the actual difference between matching cabin quotes for your calculation; the headline daily amount is not a substitute for your booking total.

What the standard package includes

• Drinks: the Signature Beverage Package, covering eligible drinks with menu prices up to $12 and a combined limit of 15 alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages daily.
• Internet: Surf access for one device at a time for each participating guest, intended for browsing, email, messaging and social media. Streaming and video calls need a higher plan.
• Four to nine nights: up to $100 in excursion credit and one specialty dining night per eligible guest.
• Ten to twenty nights: up to $200 in excursion credit and two specialty dining nights.
• Twenty one nights or longer: up to $300 in excursion credit and three specialty dining nights, excluding Grand Voyages.

The expanded four and five day eligibility applies from Fall 2026; older Summer 2026 material starts at six days. Current terms exclude cruises of three days or fewer. Standard fare amenities apply to the first two guests in the cabin. Do not multiply their benefits across children or additional adults without an individual package entitlement.

A seven night calculation for two adults

This is a hypothetical comparison, not a live fare. Suppose matching cabin quotes are $2,400 without Have It All and $3,240 with it. Both include the same taxes and booking conditions. The upgrade is $840 for two, equivalent to $60 per person per day.

Assume you would otherwise buy these extras for the couple:

• $200 of eligible Holland America excursions covered by the credits.
• $140 of internet access you actually need.
• $100 for the included specialty dinner you already intended to book.

Those assumed avoided costs total $440. That leaves $400 for drinks to justify the upgrade: $28.57 per person per day across fourteen person days. All example spending values include any applicable charges; they are assumptions, not Holland America menu prices.

If each person would spend $35 daily on covered drinks, that adds $490. The package then replaces $930 of spending and saves $90 against its $840 cost. If each spends only $10 daily, the replaced spending is $580 and the package costs $260 more.

The limits that change the answer

Signature's 15 drink allowance includes specialty coffee, soda and other covered nonalcoholic drinks, not just alcohol. Beverage service charges are included. Holland America's current FAQ says you pay the difference for a drink above the $12 threshold. Drinks must be ordered individually, sharing is prohibited and alcoholic drinks require age 21 or older.

Minibar, room service beverages and drinks on Half Moon Cay are excluded. Do not budget the package as a way to supply drinks to someone else in the cabin. For a person who does not drink alcohol, compare separate nonalcoholic purchases or Quench with the full bundle, using their own expected consumption.

Excursion credit is restricted to eligible line bookings and has no cash value. An unused $100 credit is not $100 saved. It cannot pay an independent tour operator, airport transfer or shuttle. Alaska cruisetour land excursions must be booked with the credit before sailing; a longer land stay does not automatically increase the allowance.

Dining credits cover specified restaurants and a limited number of nights, not unlimited specialty dining. Eligible choices depend on the ship and cruise length; events such as Morimoto by Sea and Cellar Master Dinner are excluded. Reserve the included dinner early enough to get a time you can use.

Standard Have It All versus the early booking offer

Standard Have It All does not include daily Crew Appreciation. An eligible Have It All Early Booking Bonus adds prepaid Crew Appreciation and upgrades to Elite beverages and Premium internet. Count those extras only when that named offer appears in your reservation.

What passenger reports add

In Reddit discussions, some passengers value coffee and bottled water even without much alcohol; others decline the bundle because they do not want paid internet. Cruise Critic contributors also distinguish a trip with many sea days from one spent mostly touring ashore. These are useful spending scenarios, not proof that a particular drinks count makes the package worthwhile for everyone.
