Fort Lauderdale Cruise Terminal Parking and Arrival Guide

For a Fort Lauderdale cruise, use Port Everglades as your destination and the terminal in your boarding documents. FLL airport is nearby, while flying into Miami adds a longer transfer. Official port parking has different facilities for different terminals; a hotel shuttle or independent lot needs its own confirmed port arrangement.

Airports and ground transport

Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International, FLL, is the local airport. Miami International, MIA, is another option when its flight schedule works better, but compare the added road transfer in both directions. Neither a short drive nor an early landing guarantees protection against a delayed flight, so arrive the day before when you can.

A taxi or booked vehicle takes your party directly to the assigned terminal. With a shared coach, match the pickup point and departure time to your booking. Do not assume a hotel airport shuttle also goes to the cruise port.

Choose the hotel area for your plans

The 17th Street area puts you near the port side of Fort Lauderdale with shops and restaurants. Airport and Dania Beach hotels can suit a late arrival; a beach hotel makes sense if you want time on the waterfront. Budget a terminal transfer from any of these areas rather than assuming every hotel is walkable to every berth.

A free hotel airport shuttle does not establish that the cruise transfer is included. Before paying for a package, confirm the port shuttle's departure, price for your whole group and return coverage.

Official parking

As checked October 4, 2026, standard port parking has a $25 daily maximum, with the rate period beginning when you take the ticket. Reservations and prepayment are not accepted. Oversized vehicles have separate charges and limits.

The Heron garage serves terminals 2 and 4. Palm serves terminals 19, 21, 25, 26 and 29, with a shuttle between Palm and terminal 29. Other berths have designated lots. Follow signs for your ship's terminal rather than parking at the first garage you see.

Compare any independent lot or hotel package using its total cost and transfer terms. Put that amount into your whole trip budget; a lower daily rate is not necessarily a lower final bill.

Port entry and boarding

Port security requires guests aged 18 and older to show government issued photo identification and cruise documents. Have them accessible in the vehicle. Allow for the gate, bag drop and parking before your assigned check in window; the ship's sailing time is later than its boarding deadline.
