What Is Included on Explora Journeys?

Explora Journeys includes most dining, room service, a selection of wine, champagne and spirits, nonalcoholic drinks, internet and onboard gratuities. Thermal spa access and group wellness activities are included too. Shore excursions, Anthology dining and many spa treatments still cost extra. Laundry service and airport transfers depend on your suite category.

Food and drinks you can enjoy without another bill

Included dining covers Emporium Marketplace, Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, Med Yacht Club, Fil Rouge, Crema Café, Explora Lounge and meals delivered to your suite. Explora lists a ninth casual experience that differs by ship: Gelateria & Crêperie on Explora I and II, and Shore Club on 11 on Explora III and later ships.

The included drink selection is available throughout the day, including in your suite. It covers alcoholic and nonalcoholic options, so a separate mainstream style drink package is unnecessary for those selections. Some wines and spirits are sold separately. Ask which list a bottle belongs to before ordering.

Room service operates around the clock. Higher Residence categories have access to a broader menu and bar setup, so another guest's suite menu may differ from yours.

Anthology and other paid food experiences

Anthology is an extra cost Italian tasting menu by Franck Garanger. The official dining page currently lists EUR 165 per person, with an optional EUR 70 wine pairing. At those published rates, two dinners cost EUR 330, or EUR 470 with two pairings. These are euro reference prices checked on the website, not a tested quote for your sailing; confirm its booking price and currency.

The Chef's Kitchen, Chef's Table and The Cellar also appear outside the included offering, where available. Ordinary included dining gives you plenty of alternatives to these purchases.

In a Cruise Critic review of a March 2026 crossing, Peter and Sharon praised their meals overall but found Anthology disappointing. That is one couple's taste, not a verdict on every sailing. Check the current menu and whether a long tasting dinner appeals to you before spending extra. Book the restaurants that require a reservation

Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill and Anthology require reservations. Emporium Marketplace, Med Yacht Club and Fil Rouge offer open seating. The current advance booking windows are 75 days before departure for Ocean Suites, 90 for Penthouses, 120 for Ocean Residences and 180 for Owner's Residences.

Repeat advance reservations can be limited. An included restaurant does not guarantee your preferred table every evening. Reserve the meals you care about when your window opens, and ask the onboard hosts about extra visits or a waitlist.

Laundry and transfers are category benefits

Everyone can use the guest washing machines and dryers without charge, with detergent supplied. Sending clothing to the laundry is different. The current inclusions chart gives Penthouses one bag per suite per journey, submitted at least 48 hours before checkout, plus pressing within the first 24 hours. Ocean Residences and Owner's Residences have unlimited laundry and pressing.

Ocean Suites do not receive that bag under the current category chart, though loyalty benefits can apply. A 2026 Reddit discussion describes a returning guest surprised by changed laundry benefits after an earlier Grand Ocean Terrace trip. Port to city shuttles are included where required and available. Airport and hotel transfers are a different benefit: Ocean Residences include up to two, and Owner's Residences up to four. Each covered transfer is limited to 50 miles or 80 kilometres, with selected airports and routes. Arrange it in advance and confirm any excess distance charge. An ordinary Ocean Suite or Penthouse should budget for transfers unless its offer explicitly includes them.

What to put in your extra spending budget

Allow for flights, hotels, shore excursions, paid culinary experiences, shopping and spa or salon appointments you want. Thermal area access does not mean every treatment is included. Some top category benefits cover specified treatments, so check the named service instead of assuming a general spa allowance.

Included internet supports browsing, messages and voice or video calls, but the operator warns that weather, location and technical conditions can interrupt service. If a work call matters, plan around time ashore. Keep promotional onboard credit separate from permanent fare inclusions, and check what it can pay for before booking extras.
