Barcelona's cruise terminals sit along the Adossat Quay, several kilometers from the old town — too far to walk, especially with luggage. Nearly every line runs a shuttle bus to the Columbus Monument at the foot of Las Ramblas, which is the practical way in regardless of which terminal you're assigned. Once you're off the shuttle, the city's metro is the way locals and repeat visitors get around — a multi-ride ticket pack is noticeably cheaper per trip than buying single fares, and it reaches the Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Família and Montjuïc directly, which matters on a single port day when a taxi queue can eat into the time you actually have ashore. Because the walk from ship to shuttle to city center takes real time on both ends of the day, travelers doing Barcelona as a single port call consistently say picking one or two neighborhoods beats trying to cover the whole city before all-aboard.
